Background on Plant

In 2008 information-technology (IT) holding company Dragon One, announced plans to borrow about Bt20 billion from the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) and other foreign banks to finance construction of a 200 MW power plant in Cambodia. The power was to be used in Cambodia and eastern Thailand. Construction was slated to commence in 2009 for completion in 2012.

However, as of 2014 the project appears to have been cancelled.
