Paul Schotsmans is an ethicist and theologian from Leuven, Belgium. Ordained as a catholic priest, Dr. Shotsmans holds positions at the Catholic University of Leuven including director, Centre for Biomedical Ethics, and president of the Department of Public Health at the School of Medicine. Dr. Schotsmans is the past president of the European Association of Centres of Medical Ethics.
He is a patron of the Centre for Bioethics and Public Policy.
