"Paul’s broad, high-level industry experience together with his recognised credentials in the specialised field of Indigenous relations provide him with a unique understanding of Indigenous issues and those of organisations wishing to meet their corporate social responsibility aims.

"A director of Wand Associates, Paul provides expert advice to corporations and governments in the areas of Indigenous relations and employment. Wand Associates collaborates with Cooperative Change on selected projects. In June 2003, Paul became the first Chairman of the board of the Desert Knowledge Cooperative Research Centre based in Alice Springs. In June to September 2001, he led the 'Wand Review' of native title claim processes commissioned by the Western Australian Government. The Review's recommendations were accepted and the report was released in November 2001.

"In 1996, Paul established the Rio Tinto Aboriginal Foundation, a body which he then chaired until June 2005. From 1995 to 2000, he also served as Vice President of Aboriginal Relations for Rio Tinto. In this role, he was a leading player in moving away from confrontation with Aboriginal people to an environment of negotiation and collaboration.
