Biographical Information
"Peter Phelps spent twelve years in funds management and investment banking, including four years in the Republic of Kazakhstan. He is a major shareholder and financial director of the UK’s leading publishing marketing company, Subscriptions Marketing. He has been actively involved in forest restoration projects in both the UK and Australia since 1997 and is a founder of Earth Restoration Service. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (RSA)." "Peter Phelps has worked in funds management and investment banking since 1989, when he joined Potter Warburg Asset Management in Melbourne, Australia. He moved to the UK in 1991 where he joined Framlington Group's emerging markets division, and then to the Republic of Kazakhstan where he was an advisor to the government on privatisation and then founder of the country's frst investment bank. In that role he led Kazakhstan's first IPO, a US$50 million issue of a leading banking group, Kazkommerts, in 1997. Returning to the UK, he was involved in a number of financings for Central Asian banks before founding Rudolf Wolff's precursor firm with Howard Colvin in 2000. " [2]
