{{#badges:Stub}} Philippe Lagayette graduated from École Polytechnique and ENA. He began his career with the French Ministry of Finance in 1970. In 1974, he joined the Treasury Department of the French Ministry of Economy and Finance, and became Deputy Director in 1980. In 1981, he was appointed Cabinet Director of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and in 1984 joined the Banque de France as its Deputy Governor.

"In 1992, he was appointed CEO of CDC (Caisse des Depots et Consignations). Mr. Lagayette then served as Vice Chairman of JP Morgan for Europe, the Middle East and Africa from 2008 to 2010.

"Mr. Lagayette is Chairman of the Board of the Institut des Hautes Études Scientifiques (IHÉS) in France, where he focuses on mathematics and theoretical physics. He is also Chairman of the French-American Foundation, and Chairman of the Alzheimer Plan Foundation in France.

"He is an Officer of the Legion of Honor and a Commander of the National Order of Merit. He was appointed Vice Chairman and Senior Advisor of Barclays Capital Investment Banking in March 2011.

"Mr. Lagayette joined PPR’s Board in 2005 after being a member of the Supervisory Board of PPR from 1999 to 2005." [1]
