Pierre LaRamee

Dr. Pierre La Ramée 'oversees IPPF/WHR’s communications, media, and fundraising activities, and directs emerging cutting-edge advocacy programs in the region. He has more than twenty-five years of experience in the area of Latin American politics and social issues. Dr. La Ramée came to IPPF/WHR in 2004 from the Puerto Rican Legal Defense and Education Fund, where he served first as Director of Development and then as Executive Vice President. He previously served as Executive Director of the North American Congress on Latin America, and as Assistant Professor of Sociology and Latin American Studies at St. Lawrence University. He is fluent in French and Spanish and has authored and co-authored numerous articles, book chapters, and reviews. Dr. La Ramée holds a Masters in Political Science from McGill University and a PhD in the Sociology of International Development from Cornell University."
