{{#badges: CoalSwarm |Navbar-Coalexports}} The Port of Plaquemines is one of the largest seaports in the United States. It is located at the mouth of the Mississippi River on the Gulf of Mexico, in Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana, about twenty miles south of New Orleans.

Plaquemines district is home to the two largest coal terminals in the United States: United Bulk Terminal at the Port of Plaquemines, and International Marine Terminals at Sulphur Port.[1] Plaquemines Parish is also the location of the proposed coal export terminal, RAM Terminal.
