Background
According to a February 2013 report, UAE-based Burj Power signed an agreement with Harbin Electric International to develop four coal-fired plants at Port Qasim. The first plant will be finished in 2016 and will cost up to US$170 million.[1]
As of July 2016, with no further developments in over three years, it appears that this project is shelved or abandoned.
