Proton Delta Sunrise power station is a 500-megawatt (MW) gas-fired power plant, under construction in Sapele, Delta State, Nigeria.[1]

Background

The Project will be built adjacent to two existing power plants -- the Sapele National Integrated Power Project Plant and CMEC/Eurafric Energy Limited Plant [formerly known as Power Holding Company of Nigeria Plant (PHCN)].[2]

A groundbreaking ceremony was held on September 28, 2017.[3]
