Background on Plant

Qingdao power station is a 4 x 300 MW coal plant in Qingdao majority-owned by China Huadian. It was commissioned from 1996 to 2006.[1]

A fifth unit of 300 MW was among 15 projects cancelled by China's National Energy Administration (NEA) in September 2016.[2]
