Qitaihe Tiedong power station (龙煤七台河铁东煤矸石电厂) is a proposed 600-megawatt (MW) waste coal-fired power plant in Heilongjiang Province, China.

Background on Project

Longmay Mining proposed a power station fueled by waste coal in Qitaihe city.

Unit 1 was permitted in August 2012. But the construction could not start due to a lack of finance. In 2014, Heilongjiang Chenergy Investment Group, a state-owned provincial energy investment company, was introduced to the project and became the co-investor.

The 2017 energy plan of the Heilongjiang Province government states the province hopes to revive the stalled project.
