Biographical Details
"Mr. Flood has been a Director of the Company since August 2003 and was its interim President and Chief Executive Officer from August 2006 to June 2007. He has been a director of Ivanhoe since its founding in 1994 and was also its president from its founding until May 1999; he was also its deputy chairman from May 1999 to May 2000 and again from November 2001 to February 2007. He was a director of Jinshan Gold Mines Inc. (formerly Pacific Minerals Inc.), a TSX-listed mineral resources company from June 2002 through May 2008. He has 15 years' experience in the mineral resources industry. Mr. Flood is the Chairman of Western Uranium Corporation, a mineral exploration corporation with a focus on uranium. Mr. Flood was Managing Director, Investment Banking, for Haywood Securities (UK) Ltd., a subsidiary of one of Canada's leading independent investment dealers, from March 2007 to March 2010. Mr. Flood is also a Director of Mercer Gold Corp., a junior exploration company focused on projects in South America. Mr. Flood received his Master of Science in Geology from the University of Montana (USA) in 1974 and his Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of Nevada (USA) in 1968. He is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors." [1]
