Ramesh Ponnuru

Ramesh Ponnuru, senior editor at the conservative National Review, is the author of The Party of Death: The Democrats, the Media, the Courts, and the Disregard for Human Life and the monograph The Mystery of Japanese Growth (American Enterprise Institute/Centre for Policy Studies). Ponnuru "has been a fellow at the Institute of Economic Affairs in London and a media fellow at Stanford University's Hoover Institution."

On July 25, 2007, Ponnuru started the Right Matters blog—"Talking About the Future of Conservatism"—at the Washington Post.

"As the Bush years wind down, the future of conservatism is up for grabs. Conservatives are asking one another questions about the next presidential election, of course--but also more basic questions about the use of force overseas, the limits of free markets, and the state's role (if it has one) in enforcing morality. How these debates turn out will affect everyone--so feel free to join the discussion," Ponnuru states.
