Background on Plant

Renqiu power station is a two-unit coal-fired power plant with a total capacity of 700 MW in Hebei Province. The plant was completed in 2013, and is majority-owned by Hebei Construction & Investment Group.[1]

Expansion

Hebei Construction & Investment Group has proposed adding two units to the power station of 300 MW each.[2][3]

However, with no developments since June 2015, the project appears cancelled.
