Background on Plant

NHDC Limited has signed MoU with Govt. of Madhya Pradesh on June 29, 2009 for the supercritical 1320 MW (2 x 660 MW) Reva Thermal Power Station in the Khandwa District of Madhya Pradesh.[1] The terms of reference was extended in 2014.[2]

However, as of November 2017 the project has yet to receive environmental clearance, and plans appear to be deferred or abandoned.
