Richard Ayre "was Deputy Chief Executive of BBC News and the Corporation’s controller of editorial policy, responsible for ethical and editorial standards in BBC programme making. He is the independent freedom of information adjudicator for the Law Society, and Board Member for England on the Content Board of Ofcom, the telecommunications regulator. He is also a Governor of Teachers’ TV." [1]
