Richard H. Nolte
Richard H. Nolte "is a former U.S. ambassador to Egypt; Rhodes scholar (Arabic, Arab history, Muslim law), past president and board member emeritus of the Near East Foundation; and a member of the World Academy of Arts and Sciences. He is a former board member of the National Aphasia Association, the Arctic Institute of North America, the Fund for Peace, and Lebanese American University. He is a former member of the New York Academy of Science and of the Council on Foreign Relations and former associate, HME International Advisory Associates. Richard is former executive director of the Institute of Current World Affairs and of the Alicia Patterson Foundation, and a former Middle East associate of the American Universities Field Staff. He was an ICWA fellow in the Middle East, 1947-1954.“ [1]
