Rick Beckett President and CEO of Global Partnerships.

"Rick Beckett is a leader committed to combining strategic philanthropy with private sector discipline to expand opportunity for people living in poverty. In addition to his work at Global Partnerships, Rick serves on the board of Direct Relief International, an organization partnering with more than 110 corporations to deliver $136 million in medical material aid to 35 million people in 57 countries. He also serves on the board of the Initiative for Global Development, a nonprofit organization with a mission to make ending global poverty a U.S. national priority by building a national network of business leaders that advocate and work to achieve that goal.

"Rick spent 20 years in the private sector, most notably as a partner at McKinsey & Company, where he worked to build strategically focused, growth-oriented companies. He served as managing partner in a $112 million private equity fund making venture capital investments in early stage companies. Rick is co-author of the bestselling book, Real Change Leaders: How You Can Create Growth and High Performance at Your Company (Random House, 1996).
