Robert Arsenault
Robert Arsenault has been an active member of the International League for Human Rights Governing Council since 1998, "serving as a vice president and co-chair of the League's development committee. A co-founder in 1992 of Philadelphia-based communications firm Overseas Strategic Consulting Ltd., he has managed programs throughout the former Soviet Union, the Balkan countries, the Middle East and Southeast Asia for clients including the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank and the United States Agency for International Development.
"Mr. Arsenault has been involved in human rights since 1982, when he served on the staff of U.S. Sen. Paul Tsongas on issues related to Andrei Sakharov and his family. He was also Director of Congressional Relations for the Union of Councils for Soviet Jews. He currently serves on the board of the Transatlantic Policy Commission of the Brussels-based Transatlantic Institute, the board of the Community of Bosnia, and is a member of the Philadelphia Committee on Foreign Relations."
