Robert Engelman
Robert Engelman "is Vice President for Research at Population Action International. He has written extensively on population’s connections to environmental change, economic growth and civil conflict.
"Engelman serves as a visiting lecturer at Yale University and chairs the board of the Center for a New American Dream, an organization working to reduce consumption of natural resources in North America. A former newspaper reporter and a founding member of the Society of Environmental Journalists, Engelman has written for The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal and The Boston Globe.
"Awarded a Pulitzer Traveling Fellowship upon graduation with a Masters of Science degree from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, Engelman worked for the Associated Press in Mexico and Central America. He served as Washington correspondent for the Kansas City Star and the (Denver) Rocky Mountain News, and covered national affairs, health and the environment for the Scripps Howard News Service in Washington.“ [1]
