Biographical Information
"Robert Joss, an expert in management, business education, and finance, joined SRI's Board of Directors in 2013.Joss has been recognized as a visionary leader who nurtured collaboration and a direction for the 21st century during his tenure as dean of Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business (GSB). During his 10 years as dean, Joss oversaw a new MBA curriculum and planning and fundraising for a new business school campus. He continues to teach general management and organizational leadership courses at GSB.
"Prior to joining the GSB as dean, Joss was CEO of Westpac Banking Corporation, one of Australia’s largest banks. He has held a variety of executive posts at Wells Fargo Bank and has worked at the U. S. Treasury, first as a White House Fellow and then as deputy to the assistant secretary for economic policy.
"In addition to his SRI Board affiliation, Joss is a director of Citigroup, Bechtel Group, Makena Capital Management, and CM Capital. He is active in Australian-American affairs, serving as co-chair of the Advisory Board for the U.S. Studies Center at Sydney University. In 2001, he received the Centenary Medal for service to Australian society. He is the 42nd recipient of the Ernest C. Arbuckle Award conferred by the Stanford Business School Alumni Association."[1]
