Rogaia Mustafa Abusharaf

Rogaia Mustafa Abusharaf, PhD, "a native of Sudan, is an anthropologist, the director of Pembroke Center's research initiative on Gender and Traditional Muslim Practices, and teaches courses in gender studies. She has written extensively about the experience of Sudanese immigrants and exiles in the U.S., and is editor of Female Circumcision: Multicultural Perspectives. She has been involved with a number of institutions, engaged in human rights from a gender perspective, including the Carr Center for Human Rights, the W.E.B. Du Bois Institute, and the François-Xavier Bagnoud Center for Health and Human Rights at Harvard University." [1]
