Roy Steiner
Since August, 2005, Roy Steiner has been Deputy Director of Agricultural Develoment at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, where his role has included developing a"$400 million portfolio of grants focused on improving the agricultural productivity of smallholder farmers in Africa and South Asia", as well as developing "long term partnerships with Brazil and China."[1] Prior to this, he spent six years as Managing Director of Cyberplex Africa[2], as well as being Managing Director of Africa Online Holdings between 1997 and 2000[3]. From 1995 to 1997, he was Strategy Director in the field of "environmental strategy" at CH2M Hill[4], and an associate at McKinsey & Company between 1993 1995[5]. From 1991 to 1993, he was Warren Weaver Fellow at the The Rockefeller Foundation[6]
As a member of the Baha'i Faith[7], Mr Steiner has presented several talks (including a 2011 to the London international conference) to the European Baha'i Business Forum [8], as well as having made contributions to the Baha'i Studies Review Journal on various topics, including "The Baha'i Community as a Learning Organisation.[9]
