Prakash Sethi is Professor of Management at the Zicklin School of Business at the City University of New York and a consultant to a range of companies, industry groups, government agencies and non-government organisations on corporate social responsibility related issues. One of the companies that he is a consultant to is the toy-maker Mattel.[1]

Background

Sethi is the founder and President of the International Center for Corporate Accountability, which is described as a "think tank based at the Zicklin School of Business" which undertakes "cutting-edge research, and public policy advocacy in the area of enhanced corporate accountability through voluntary corporate codes of conduct in the national and international arenas."[1]

His biographical note also stated that he is an "advisor-consultant to various corporations and industry groups, government agencies, and NGOs in the United States, and other parts of the world. Issues involved include: business strategy, international business, mergers and acquisitions, social issues management, business ethics, voluntary codes of conduct, corporate social responsibility and advocacy/issue advertising, public affairs management, Triple Bottom Line reporting and assessment, 1980 - present."[1]

Sethi is also the chairperson of the Mattel Independent Monitoring Council for Global Manufacturing Principles.
