{{#badges: CoalSwarm}} Tenaska had planned to build a 660 MW coal-fired generating plant on the Sallisaw landfill. The plant would have burned coal from Wyoming’s Powder River Basin.[1]
It was opposed by the Sequoyah County Clean Air Coalition.[2]
Tenaska cancelled the plan in July 2007, citing rising steel and other construction costs.[3]
