Samir Shawa "is the managing director at Gaza Construction Company. He received an engineering degree from London, and has been working in Gaza since 1994. In addition to his duties at the Gaza Construction Company, he is also director, at the General Palestine Electric Company, chairman, of the Alhani Cultural Foundation, director, of the Palestinian Council on Foreign Relations, and vice-chairman of the Palestinian Businessmen Association."
