Samuel K. Murumba
Professor Murumba joined the Brooklyn Law School "in 1992 after having taught at the Monash University Law School in Australia for many years. He teaches and writes principally in the fields of intellectual property and international human rights. Among his publications are Commercial Exploitation of Personality (1986), "Cross-Cultural Dimensions of Human Rights in the 21st Century" in Legal Visions of the 21st Century: Essays in Honor of Judge Christopher Weermantry (1998), the "Passing Off" chapter in the Intellectual Property Title of The Laws of Australia (1996), the prestigious restatement of the laws of Australia, and the "Intellectual Property" chapter in consecutive volumes of An Annual Survey of Australian Law. Professor Murumba is a member of the American Law Institute, and serves as the Intellectual Property Section Editor of the Australian Business Law Review. He continues his life-long commitment to human rights, serving on the Board of Directors of Human Rights Watch, and on the Board's Policy Committee. In addition, he serves on the Advisory Board of its Africa Division. He is also a member of the Committee on Human Rights of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.“ [1]
