Scott Simon is the host of Weekend Edition Saturday on National Public Radio. [1]

In an opinion column in the Wall Street Journal, a little over a year after the September 11 2001 terrorist attacks on the U.S., Simon backed the 'war on terrorism'. "It seems to me that in confronting the forces that attacked the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, American pacifists have no sane alternative now but to support war," he wrote. [2]
