The four-unit, 175-MW coal-fired Severodvinsk-1 power station is owned by SINTEZ Group. The plant’s four units were brought online between 1950 and 1977.[1][2][3]
In July 2016 TGC-2 announced that it had chosen a contractor to build a gas-fired plant that would replace Severodvinsk-1.[4] In February 2019 the Ural Turbine Plant, which manufactures gas turbines, was contracted to replace the plant's two turbines in 2020.[5]
