Background on Plant

Shanqiu City-B power station consisted of 2 x 50 MW coal-fired units, owned by Beijing Zhongqin. The company went bankrupt in 2014, and the units have been retired.[1]

Description of Expansion

According to Platts, Beijing Zhongqin is currently planning to build two additional coal-fired units at this plant, with a total planned capacity of 400 MW.[2] However, there appear to be no other public sources of information about this proposed power station, and it appears to have been cancelled.
