Background on Plant
The two existing coal-fired units of Shanxi Ruiguang power station, totaling 660 MW, were brought online between 2011 and 2012. The plant is owned by Shanxi International Electricity Group.[1][2]
Description of Expansion
Shanxi International Energy Group is currently planning to build two additional coal-fired units at this plant, with a total planned capacity of 1,200 MW.[3]
However, with no developments since 2011, the expansion appears to be cancelled.
