Background

PT.GH EMM Indonesia is a joint venture between China Shenhua (70%) and PT Energy Musi Makmur (30%) that was incorporated on March 11, 2008, for the construction of a 2 x 150 MW coal plant in Muara Enim County, South Sumatra. The power plant is about 3 km away from Dangku coalfield, and is fueled by an opencast coal mine. Construction began in July 2009 and was completed in 2011.
