Sherry L. Mueller
Sherry L. Mueller has provided leadership for the National Council for International Visitors at the J. William & Harriet Fulbright Center "since 1996, first as Executive Director and then as President until September 2011, and now holds the title of President Emeritus. Prior to NCIV, she worked for eighteen years for the Institute of International Education (IIE), first as a program officer and then as Director of the Professional Exchange Programs staff. During this time she was also an adjunct professor, pioneering the first course on public diplomacy at American University’s School of International Service (SIS)." [1]
"An Experiment in International Living leader to the Soviet Union, she was also English language officer for the Department of State, and board chair of the Coalition for American Leadership Abroad (COLEAD). She is also a board member of World Learning, the Public Diplomacy Council, the Alliance for International Educational & Cultural Exchange and the Social Science Foundation." [1]
