The Social Development In Europe Group exists 'to raise awareness among British parliamentarians of methods and best practice to improve to improve the stability of families and communities; to establish and maintain contacts between British and other European parliamentarians; to address the aim of family and community stability within European states, including the former Yugoslavia; and to evaluate evidence from methods and good practice, including that from smaller projects, from voluntary, private, and other non-governmental institutions, and from partnerships between public and private sectors'
