Soheil Abedian
Soheil Abedian is the current Joint Managing Director and CEO of the Sunland Group[1]
Soheail Abedian was "born in Persia, gained a master’s degree in architecture in Austria and Migrated to Australia in 1981, his first project under the Sunland banner was to design a luxury home in Surfers Paradise. His unique design abilities became obvious later in the 80s with the design of Sunland’s first highrise Malibu and later on in many landmark developments such as Palazzo Versace, Q1 The World’s Tallest Residential Tower and Circle on Cavill, just to name a few. Recipient of Certificate for Citizen of Humanity (awarded by National Committee of Human Rights). In December 2001 Soheil was appointed honorary professor of the Graduate School of Management at Griffith University and currently lectures to students on the ethics of business. In 2002 Soheil was awarded the Centenary Medal of Australia for services to the property and business sector."[2]
In 2003, was awarded the Centenary Medal for his services to the development and construction industry.[3]
Soheil is the father of Sahba Abedian, current Joint Managing Director of the Sunland Group. Both are members of the Baha'i Community of Australia [4], [5](see Baha'i Faith).
