Background

The South Texas system moves domestic crude from Eagle Ford to Corpus Christi, Texas. It consists of more than 540 miles of transportation lines. Koch Pipeline operates this system, which was commissioned in 2011.

In May 2014 Koch Pipeline said it planned to expand its South Texas crude oil pipeline system with the installation of an additional 24 mile pipeline in San Patricio County. The new pipeline will have an expected initial capacity of approximately 200,000 barrels per day (bpd), planned for completion in 2014.
