Background

South Texas LNG Terminal was a proposed LNG terminal in Texas, United States. In January of 2013 the US Department of Energy granted authorization to Pangea LNG to export natural gas to Free Trade Agreement countries. However, LNG World News reported in April of 2015 that the company was no longer pursuing efforts to export LNG, and therefore, the company requested the Department of Energy vacate all previous authorizations.
