The "participants at the meeting sponsored by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) held in Val Morin, Quebec, in August 1995 sharpened, deepened, and enriched the central insights and challenges involved in any serious attempt to relate culture and spirituality to the dominant economic paradigm, especially in the context of developing countries with which many are personally familiar." [1]
