Studienzentrum Weikersheim
The German think tank Studienzentrum Weikersheim was founded in October 1979 in Weikersheim Castle by Hans Filbinger, Helmut Metzner, Günter Rohrmoser, Heinz Karst and Erich Baumann. [1] [2] One year earlier Hans Filbinger, the founding president of this right wing organization, was forced to resign as premier of Baden-Württemberg after it emerged that as a naval judge he shared responsibility for handing down death sentences in the waning months of Nazi Germany. [3] Filbinger remained president until May 1997 when he resigned at the age of 84 and Wolfgang Freiherr von Stetten took over the helm. [4] Klaus Hornung became in 2001 president and Bernhard Friedmann is since September 22, 2003 the new president of Weikersheim. [5]
