Background on Plant
The plant was planned to come online in 2012, according to the Oxford Business Group.[1]
San Miguel acquired Sultan Energy Philippines Inc. in 2010 for $14.5 million, giving San Miguel control over three coal mines in Sultan Kudarat, covering a combined area of 17,000 hectares.[2]
The project is not listed in the Philippines Department of Energy August 2013 status list of coal plants under development in Mindanao. It appears to have been cancelled.[3]
