Background on Plant

In the 2015-2024 PLN long-range supply plan, Sumut-2 power station is proposed for 2023/2024.[1] In the 2017-2026 long-range plan it is scheduled for 2021/2022 and is described as an independent power project (IPP).[2] In the 2018-2027 long-range plan both units are scheduled for 2021.[3]
