Suzanna Dennis
Suzanna Dennis "is Gender Action’s Programs Coordinator. Her responsibilities are mainly programmatic but she also devotes time to administration. Suzanna is taking the lead on all of Gender Action's new programs. Since joining Gender Action, Suzanna has completed a gender analysis of Mozambique's second PRSP, a gender review of the International Finance Corporation’s revised Policy Performance Standards, a gender assessment of Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan and Sakhalin II project documents complemented by designing a household survey for residents around these pipelines, and a review of all IFI gender action plans, strategies and policies. She is the lead author of the "Gender Guide to World Bank and IMF Policy-Based Lending."
"Suzanna has seven years of experience in international development with a gender equality, human rights and socio-economic development focus in Africa and Latin America. She previously worked with Educate Girls Globally, Oxfam America, the Jubilee Bay Area Debt Relief Cancellation Coalition and Amnesty International USA. She has an MA in international affairs, specializing in economic and political development, from the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University, and a BA with Honors in sociology from the University of California at Santa Cruz."
