Talk:Lawyers for Bush-Cheney

Wayne Madsen reported December 18, 2005, that "the Bush administration has effectively transformed federal financial regulatory agencies into slush funds for the GOP. In addition to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), the subject of whistleblower allegations reported by WMR on December 16 [see article on website], WMR has learned that similar activities involving questionable financial activities now swirl around the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA). Informed sources report that the NCUA is permitting credit unions to be used to launder money into GOP campaign coffers. This laundering involves a network of officials of the White House, including Karl Rove, a campaign group called Lawyers for Bush-Cheney, and top officials of the National Security Council and State Department. The misuse of federal regulatory agencies, sometimes nicknamed the 'fourth branch of government,' for financial fraud is connected to the gaming industry and the scandal surrounding Jack Abramoff and Tom DeLay."
