There have been two Bush administrations. The George Herbert Walker Bush administration (1989-1992) which succeeded the Ronald Reagan administration (1981-1988). The George W. Bush administration (2001-2008) consisted of (includes some members of Bush's White House Staff):

Since there are many figures in common between the Ronald Reagan (RR), whose Vice-President George Herbert Walker Bush (G1) inherited the White House, and the George W. Bush (G2) eras, the term Bush League has come into use to describe this group as a whole.

Several others come to the George W. Bush administration with experience gained in other previous administrations: Richard M. Nixon (RN), J. Danforth Quayle (DQ), Gerald R. Ford (GF) or Bill Clinton (BC)).
