Background on Plant

The four existing coal-fired units of Tengzhou Xinyuan power station, totaling 1,000 MW (2 x 150 MW and 2 x 350 MW), were brought online between 2003 and 2006. The plant is owned by China Huadian.[1]

Description of Expansion

In 2008 it was reported that Huadian was planning two additional coal-fired units at the Tengzhou Xinyuan plant, with a total planned capacity of 1,200 MW;[2] however, plans do not appear to have advanced, and were likely cancelled.
