"With more than 20 years experience in the public policy and reproductive health fields, Terri Bartlett serves as Vice President for Public Policy and Strategic Initiatives for Population Action International (PAI). In this position, she directs the organization’s domestic and international policy agenda. In recent years, Ms. Bartlett has led PAI’s signature work on the Global Gag Rule Impact Project, which has now expanded to look at the broader array of U.S. family planning and reproductive health policies, including those on HIV/AIDS. Ms. Bartlett also plays a key role in bringing the issue of reproductive health supplies to greater global attention. She serves on the Executive Committee of the Reproductive Health Supplies Coalition, an alliance of leading reproductive health organizations that works to identify the main causes of supply shortages and provides recommendations to government leaders and policy-makers about improving the availability and access to these products. She also serves on the Steering Committee of the Asia Pacific Alliance, a strategic advocacy network that engages NGOs, ODA agencies, and philanthropic foundations working towards advancing the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD) agenda.
"Prior to joining PAI in January of 1999, Ms. Bartlett served for more than a decade as President, CEO and founder of Planned Parenthood of Louisiana. Before moving to Louisiana, Ms. Bartlett served as the Executive Director of the Tennessee Association of Planned Parenthood Affiliates, a statewide advocacy organization. She began her career with Planned Parenthood Association of Nashville as the Director of Volunteers in their Community Education Department.“ [1]
