{{#badges:stub}} The Dreyfuss Initiative was a non-profit organization founded by actor Richard Dreyfuss in 2006 to promote the teaching of civics in American schools. High school students “don’t know what was revolutionary about the Revolutionary War,” Dreyfuss lamented. The organization's "fundamental mission" is "yo teach our kids how to run our country with common sense and realism, before it’s time for them to run the country."[1]
