Dr. Thoric Cederstrom, Vice President of Food Security and Sustainable Agriculture/Global Health and Nutrition for Counterpart International "is an expert in Sustainable Agriculture and has broad experience in participatory food security assessments, program design, and monitoring and evaluation, including anthropometric surveys. Dr. Cederstrom was Food Security Policy Advisor from 1997-2002, providing technical support to field offices on monitoring and evaluation and program design. From 1990-1997, he was a Research Social Scientist in the Bureau of Applied Research in Anthropology at the University of Arizona where he coordinated the Farmer-to-Farmer Program, an international agricultural technical assistance program. Dr. Cederstrom has directed programs invovling agroforestry, water and soil management, field crop cultivation, biological pest control/integrated pest management, aquaculture/mariculture, animal care and health, fruit and vegetable groein, marketing and credit, livestock and range management, watershed management, and irrigation." "Prior to coming to Counterpart, Dr. Cederstrom was Food Security Policy Advisor for Save the Children-US, 1997-2002, where he worked in the Division of Humanitarian Response in the Washington, DC office and provided technical support to field offices on monitoring and evaluation and program design. For seven years prior to coming to Save the Children, Thoric was a Research Social Scientist in the Bureau of Applied Research in Anthropology at the University of Arizona where he coordinated the Farmer-to-Farmer Program, an international agricultural technical assistance program. Earlier, Thoric was an Associate Professor in Anthropology at the Universidad Autónoma de Puebla in Mexico for three years."
