Tiberio Graziani
"Mr. Graziani is President of the Italian Institute of Advanced Studies in Geopolitics and Auxiliary Sciences (Istituto di Alti Studi in Geopolitica e Scienze Ausiliarie, IsAG), Editor-in-Chief of “Geopolitica“ (Journal of the Institute of Advanced Studies in Geopolitics and Auxiliary Sciences) and Founder and Editor-in-Chief of “Eurasia“ (from 2004 –2011). Also he is Co-Founder and co-Director of IsaG-Kore Cycles of Seminars devoted to Geopolitics on Mediterranean Area, held at Kore University (Enna, Italy) during the academic years: 2010-2011; 2011-2012." "President of IsAG (Institute for Advanced Studies in Geopolitics), editor-in-chief of Geopolitica. He’s expert in geopolitics, has published numerous articles (over 30) on the subject in several academic journals, as World Affairs (India), Geopolitics (Romania), Geopolitika (Serbia), Vestnik Analitiki (Russia), International Affairs (Russia), Social’naja Ekonomika (Ukraine), Geosur (Uruguay), Africana (Italy). He co-founded IsAG and Geopolitica. He taught scientific subjects from 1998 to 2008 at University of Perugia and University of L’Aquila. He has taught at several post-degree courses on geopolitics (University of Teramo and Universty Kore of Enna) and for the Italian Institute of Foreign Trade (ICE) in several countries, as Libya, China, India, Uzbekistan, Argentina. He has been consultant for EIB (European Investment Bank) in Tunisia." [2]
According to a chapter in the 2015 book Eurasianism and the European Far Right: Reshaping the Europe–Russia Relationship Tiberio worked with Claudio Mutti to “promote an anti-U.S. campaign during the Iraq Waw, with a small segment of far-left organizations groups around Campo Antimperialista, a broad anti-American initiative, in 2003. The polemic around the presence of Mutti and other neofascists flared up and undercut the appeal.” The author continues: “The neofascists’ search for their own political space, with a think tank that could dominate Italian academics, led to the foundation of the journal Eurasia in the autumn of 2004. The journal, headed by Mutti and Graziani, started with an issue devoted to Turkey. The opening article was a translation of Dugin’s ‘The Eurasianist Idea’ in Italian, a clear declaration of the intention of the editors.” (p.109) "Tiberio Graziani headed Eurasia for seven years but, after a clash about the journal’s orientation, left in 2011 and opened Geopoliticia, another journal who poses itself more ‘academic’ and ‘neutral,’ with the presence of Natalia Narochnitskaya at the Scientific Committee.” (p.110)
