Todd Willens

Todd "is a partner with Vitello Consulting and has extensive experience in the field of public policy as well as legislative and regulatory affairs.

"From 2006 — 2008, Willens served as Deputy Assistant Secretary at the Department of the Interior. In this capacity, Willens provided overall policy direction to the National Park Service and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service on the application of conservation measures in a complex, ever-changing political, economic, and social environment.

"Notably, Willens served as the Head of Delegation for the United States of America to the 14th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora. Willens also served as the Head of Delegation for the United States of America to the 31st Meeting of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee.

"Willens served as Senior Policy Director for the United States House of Representatives Committee on Resources prior to his service at the Department of the Interior. He served as the senior staff advisor to the Committee’s Chairman and Members on all legislative and policy issues under the Committee’s jurisdiction, placing an emphasis on wildlife conservation management. He represented the Committee during negotiations with other Committees, House Leadership, the Senate, the Administration, interest groups and the public on numerous key issues.

"Willens was Vice President at a privately owned family entertainment corporation where he ran the Government Relations department and was a member of the IEF Board. As Vice President, Willens represented corporate interests before local, state, federal, international legislatures and regulatory bodies on issues affecting corporate operations."
